Born in Berlin, Germany, I was raised in New England and the South Pacific before moving to Atlanta for college, where I like to think the heat helped temper my fast-talking northern accent. My career eventually brought me to Durham. After reinventing myself professionally several times, I fell in love with real estate. Along the way, my passion for this gritty, bootstrapping, former tobacco town and “Best Place to Live” award winner grew into a full-fledged love affair. I live near Duke University with my miniature schnauzer, Pippa, and a brood of hens named after popular singers. Home renovations excite me, including converting my garage into a guesthouse where my mother now lives. When I’m not selling real estate, you can find me planning my next trip, trying out new recipes, or relaxing with my chickens.
