Douglas Adams once said, ”I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.” This quote could not ring truer for me! My life has been filled with seemingly incongruent experiences that have shaped me into the agent I am today. I am the daughter of a residential builder and a pastor’s wife. I have a degree in psychology and education. My three boys have forced me to learn master negotiation tactics. I have owned four homes (three having become rentals). I have completed several marathons (both of the running and Netflix variety). With this history, I am intimately familiar with homes, know how to walk alongside people, and can do what it takes to get a job done.
After moving to Durham in 2007, my family and I quickly realized that this was a place where we would thrive. Having lived in Berlin, being married to a Brazilian, and having friends from all over the world helps me appreciate the diversity the Triangle has to offer. In fact, I have served clients from five different continents!
As a Realtor and human being, I do my best to adhere to the extra golden rule–Do unto others as you would have them do unto your mom. (Because let’s face it, we can put up with some stuff–but don’t hurt my mama!) For me, this work isn’t about selling; it’s about listening and responding; helping and guiding; and taking an experience that can be stressful and overwhelming, and shaping it into an organized and enjoyable experience!
